Davis Battah has been an avid angler since the young age of 8 when he caught his first big pike while out trolling with his father on Chandos Lake where the family cottage was located. It was love at first bite. Years later, Davis continued with his passion, learning how to effectively target Northern Pike throughout the year.
You will be fishing out of a 2006 LUND 20' Fishermen equipped with a 2006 Mercury 225 HP OptiMax engine, and a 9.9 Merc 4-Stroke Pro Kicker. Big water, big weather, big fish, bring it on! No longer will foul weather make for uncomfortable fishing. With a custom designed bimini top and enclosure, the the dog days of summer, and the blistery fall/ winter winds, rain and snow are no longer a factor. This boat is 20' long and over 8' wide. We've rigged it with Lowrance Sonar/GPS units both cockpit and bow, and an 80lb PD AP US Minn Kotta trolling motor provides ultimate boat control while casting "the spot on the spot..." I use equipment that holds up to extreme conditions and use, and works when I need it too the most. I have no sponsorships or paid endorsements. You can be rest assured that all of my equipment is in my boat because it's the best that's available, not because it was provided to me.

He
then discovered the Pikes cousin, the Muskellunge many years later, and
has dedicated hundreds of hours every season on the water for the past 8
years targeting strictly Muskie. His relentless pursuit of Canada's
largest freshwater predator has made him a well respected angler amongst
his peers and in the angling community. In 2003, he was invited to
participate in an ongoing tagging study undertaken by the Ontario Ministry
of Natural Resources of Muskellunge on Lake Scugog located only 45 minutes
north east of Toronto. This study is the first of its kind and is geared
to developing and monitoring information such as feeding habits, growth,
migration and countless other facts on the Muskellunge habits. This study
will continue for years to come and Davis is both excited and proud to be
an integral part of this important research.
Davis
has begun spending the off seasons, designing and developing his own
prototype baits and is preparing editorial pieces hoping to become a
regular contributor in major Muskie and Pike magazines distributed
throughout North America and is an active Member of the Toronto Chapter of
Muskies Canada.
